Aerosol Finishing Kit

This kit contains all the aerosols you’ll need to finish your guitar in one of the classic colors we provide.

Materials listed will finish one body and neck.

Contents:

– 1 Can of Nitrocellulose based Sanding Sealer
– 1 Can of White Primer (Metallics only)
– 1 Can of Color tinted Nitrocellulose Lacquer
– 3 Cans of Clear Nitrocellulose Lacquer (Gloss or Satin sheen)

For open grain woods (Mahogany, Ash, etc) these lacquers should be applied after the wood has been Grain Filled* and sanded to 300 or 400 grit

When selecting clear coats consider the aesthetic you’re hoping to achieve:
Clear Gloss:
– Industry standard
– 90 Sheen High Gloss
– Higher tolerance to weather checking/cracking

Satin:
– 30 Sheen
– Between matte and gloss

Vintage Formula Clear
– 80 Sheen (VOS)
– Will check/crack when exposed to extreme temperatures
– Perfect option for those looking for a vintage spec finish
